Settings

Settings opens from the gear icon at the top right of the song view. It has five sections.

Preferences

One setting: the app Language.

The choice applies immediately and only to this device, so your phone can be in German while your laptop is in English.

Stage

One setting: Keep screen awake.

It is on by default, which is why your songsheet does not dim in the middle of a song. Turn it off if you would rather the screen behave normally, for example when you use the app to read rather than to play.

Sync and Storage

Everything about how this device talks to your account.

• Status is the card at the top. It says whether the device is online, when it last synced, and how many changes are still waiting to upload.
• Sync now is only needed when the status above still shows changes waiting. Otherwise the app syncs on its own and the button has nothing to do. It is unavailable while the device is offline.
• The cloud icon explainer shows what each of the small cloud icons in the corner of the app means, with the live one highlighted.
• Space used on this device is how much room your library takes up locally. In a browser this is an estimate for the whole site rather than an exact figure, and some browsers cannot report it at all.
• Re-download library deletes the local copy and downloads it again from the server. It is the recovery step for a device showing stale or broken content, and the app makes you sync pending changes first so nothing is lost.

Account

Every change to your account needs an internet connection.

• Profile holds your first and last name, your email address, and the way to change either credential. Change email and Change password live here rather than on the Account screen itself. If you signed in with Google or Apple, those two entries are not shown, because the provider manages your credentials.
• Plan and Billing shows your plan, how many songs you have used against the limit, and the way to subscribe, manage, or restore a purchase.
• Sessions lists every device you are signed in on, with a counter against the limit of 5. Sign out any device from here.
• Delete Account starts the deletion flow.
• Sign out signs out this device only.

About and Legal

• What's New is the changelog inside the app. Every release with what was added, changed, and fixed.
• Version shows which build you are running. Tap it to expand the technical details, and use Copy diagnostics to put them on the clipboard. Pasting that into a support mail saves a round of questions.
• Privacy holds the two consent toggles below, plus a link to the privacy policy showing which version you accepted.
• Report a bug opens your mail app with a report to support already prefilled, including the technical details from the Version row. Describe the issue you faced in the email and send it off.
• Help and Documentation, Website, Contact Support, and Terms of service are links out.

The privacy toggles

Two independent switches:

• Send crash reports. When the app crashes, an automatic report is sent so the problem can be fixed.
• Send usage analytics. Anonymous usage data about which features get used.

Both promise the same thing: no personal data and no song content. Your songs, your lyrics, your setlists, and your notes are never part of either report. Turning both off costs you nothing in the app, it only means problems you hit have to be reported by mail instead.
