Why SONGUIDE exists
What if there was a songbook app that works on all platforms (iOS, Android, Web), doesn't look like it's from the last century, and doesn't cost a fortune?
I asked myself this question for years. Because many apps are overpriced, tied to a single platform, overloaded with unnecessary features, or simply painful to use. Musicians deserve better.
So I built SONGUIDE. The tool you actually want to use. Modern, affordable, and focused on what matters.

Is the Free plan really free?
Yes. The Free plan holds up to 15 songs and includes every feature: the editor, transpose, capo, folders, setlists and sync across your devices. No ads, no credit card, and no trial that runs out.
Learn moreWhat happens when I reach 15 songs?
Creating, duplicating and importing songs pauses. Everything already in your library stays exactly as it is, and you can keep reading, editing, transposing and exporting it. Delete a song to make room, or switch to Musician for unlimited songs.
Learn moreWhat happens to my songs if I cancel my subscription?
Nothing is deleted. Every song stays in your library, and export keeps working on any plan and in any subscription state. Only creating new songs above the free limit pauses until you subscribe again.
Can I bring the songs I already have?
Yes. SONGUIDE imports ChordPro files and ZIP archives, moves a whole library over from OnSong, OpenSong or Charts by WorshipTools, and takes the ChordPro files you download from SongSelect. You can also paste a songsheet from a website into the editor and SONGUIDE formats it for you.

Not yet. SONGUIDE stores songs as chords and text rather than as scanned pages, which is what lets a song transpose and take a capo. However, every song, folder and setlist can be saved as a printable PDF songsheet. Support for songs as PDFs and images is planned for a later release.

iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, and any modern browser. On a Mac with Apple silicon you can install the iPad app from the App Store, and a Windows PC uses the browser. One account covers all of them, signed in on up to 5 devices at a time, and one subscription unlocks every device you use.
Learn moreDoes it work without an internet connection?
On iPhone, iPad and Android your whole library works without one, and so does the iPad app on a Mac with Apple silicon. You sign in online once and let it sync, then you can read, edit, transpose and perform anywhere, and your changes sync by themselves when you are back. In a browser you need a connection, because a browser can clear its stored data at any time.

Everyone uses their own account and their own library today, each with their own folders, setlists and capo settings. Songs travel between accounts as ChordPro files. A Team plan with a shared library is planned, and what you paid towards Musician is never lost when you move to it.
Learn moreIs there a one-time purchase instead of a subscription?
No. SONGUIDE is one app on every platform, and a subscription is what pays for the sync running behind it and for keeping the app growing with new features and improvements rather than letting it go stale. Charging once would mean charging again per platform. So the Free plan stays free, and Musician is CHF 4.90 per month or CHF 49 per year.
How do I cancel?
Anytime, and wherever you bought the subscription: the App Store, Google Play, or the billing portal for a web purchase. Cancelling stops the renewal and Musician stays active to the end of the period you already paid for.

Your songs, setlists and account are stored on servers in Zurich, Switzerland, and reach your devices through a sync service in the EU. Your data is never sold, and you can export your songs from the app at any time.
