Terms of Service
Last Updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms of Service govern the use of SONGUIDE: the website at songuide.com and the SONGUIDE app at app.songuide.com, including the apps distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
SONGUIDE is provided by:
Niklas Oberli
c/o CillART GmbH
Dorfstrasse 5

The handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which applies alongside these terms.
1. The Service
SONGUIDE is a song library for musicians: it stores songs with lyrics and chords, organizes them into setlists and folders, and syncs them across devices. The free plan includes a limited number of songs. Paid subscription plans remove that limit. The service evolves over time, and features may be added, changed, or removed.
SONGUIDE provides software only. No song content, lyrics, chord sheets, or music licenses are provided, included, or brokered. All content in a library is entered or imported by you.
2. Your Account
An account is required to use the app and to sync content across devices. The information provided at registration must be accurate. Your account is personal: keep your credentials confidential. Activity under your account is your responsibility.
3. Your Content and Licensing Responsibility
Songs, setlists, and other content you store remain yours. SONGUIDE receives only the limited rights needed to host, store, back up, and sync your content in order to provide the service, and no other rights.
Export of your content is always available, regardless of plan or subscription status.
You are solely responsible for the content you store and for holding all rights or licenses needed to store, display, perform, and share it, for example through CCLI, SongSelect, or other licensing schemes.
Storing or sharing content through SONGUIDE creates no license and transfers none. Whether a person you share content with is covered by a license of their own is a matter between the users involved and their licensors, not SONGUIDE. Claims arising from your content are your responsibility.
As a hosting service, SONGUIDE may remove or block content upon a substantiated notice of infringement.
4. Acceptable Use
The service may only be used within applicable law. In particular, the following is not permitted:
- storing or sharing content beyond what your own rights and licenses allow
- interfering with or disrupting the service, or probing its security without permission
- reverse engineering the service, except to the extent the law permits it
- circumventing plan limits or access restrictions
- reselling access to the service or providing it to third parties for a charge
5. Subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or on the web through Stripe as merchant of record. Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by the terms of the respective purchase channel and are handled there.
Cancelling stops auto-renewal. Access to paid features continues until the end of the paid period.
Songs are never deleted when a subscription is cancelled, lapses, or is refunded. Only the creation of new songs above the free plan limit is blocked, and export always remains available.
6. Availability and Changes to the Service
The service is provided as available. Maintenance windows, updates, and outages can occur, and uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Keeping local exports of important content is encouraged.
Material reductions of the service's features are announced in advance where feasible.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the extent permitted by law, liability for slight negligence is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability, in particular for unlawful intent, gross negligence, and personal injury, as well as mandatory consumer rights, remain unaffected.
8. Termination
You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account by following the steps on the account deletion page. Export your content before deletion. Deleted data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
SONGUIDE may suspend or terminate an account in the event of a material violation of these terms, with prior notice where appropriate.
9. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated over time, for example when the service gains new features. The 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page indicates the current version. Material changes are announced on the website or in the app. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss substantive law. The place of jurisdiction is the provider's seat in Switzerland. Mandatory consumer protection provisions, including a consumer's right to bring or face claims at their own domicile, remain reserved.
11. Contact
