Delete Your Account and Data
You can delete your SONGUIDE account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to do it, what gets removed, and how long it takes.
Delete from inside the app
- Open the SONGUIDE app and go to Settings, then Account, then Delete Account.
- Confirm your identity. If you signed up with a password, enter it. If you signed in with Google or Apple, re-authenticate with that provider.
- Confirm the deletion. You are immediately signed out on all of your devices.
Cannot sign in?
You need to be signed in to delete your account. If you forgot your password, reset it from the sign-in screen. If you signed up with Google or Apple, sign in with that provider. Then follow the steps above.
If you still cannot access your account, use the email address below. Ownership is verified through the account's registered email address before anything is deleted, so only requests that can be tied to that address can be acted on.

What gets deleted
- Your account and profile (email address and name)
- All of your content (songs, setlists, folders and annotations)
- Your saved settings and consent records
Product analytics and error reports
If you opted in to product analytics or error reporting, that data is held by the analytics provider (PostHog) under a pseudonymous identifier and is not directly linked to your name or email. It is not removed automatically when your account is deleted. To have it deleted as well, send an email and it will be removed.

Email waitlist and newsletter
Any SONGUIDE email waitlist or newsletter subscription is separate from your app account. Deleting your app account does not remove you from those emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or the contact address below, to be removed.
Timing and grace period
After you request deletion, your account is deactivated immediately. You have 30 days to recover it by signing in again. After 30 days, your account and all associated data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
